FOOTBALL FAN FLAGS

Football Fan Flags Newsroom & Editorial Policy

Football Fan Flags publishes football news and supporter guides alongside its personalised flags, stickers, towels and cards. This page explains who produces our reports and how we handle sources, photographs and corrections.

Who is behind the newsdesk?

Football Fan Flags Newsdesk is the site’s editorial byline. Reports under that name use AI-assisted research and writing; it is not a fictional human reporter. We do not claim to have attended matches, interviewed people or obtained exclusive information unless an article explicitly explains that work.

The publisher is Football Fan Flags, Unit 8, Derby Road, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S45 9AG, UK. Contact sales@footballfanflags.co.uk or use our contact page.

What we publish

We focus on confirmed football developments and practical information for supporters. We prefer official club, competition and governing-body announcements, and link to the sources behind a report. We check the event date as well as the publication date. A fixture preview is not a result, a rumour is not a confirmed transfer, and a scheduled announcement is not an event that has happened.

Each article should add useful context for readers rather than simply repeat another outlet’s wording. We do not publish to a daily article quota. Where details cannot be verified, we leave them out or hold the story.

Dates, updates and corrections

Reports show a publication date and byline. Material updates or corrections are explained in the article; we do not refresh dates solely to make an old story appear new. Send the article URL, the disputed detail and supporting evidence when requesting a correction. We review substantiated errors and make the correction clear.

Image rights and credits

We use our own images or photographs whose permission or licence allows the intended use. For Creative Commons material we check the individual file, identify the creator and licence, link to the source and state any changes. An old photograph is labelled as an archive image when it does not depict the reported event. If suitable rights cannot be verified, a report can run without a photograph.

News photographs are editorial illustrations. They do not imply that a player, manager, club or rights holder endorses our products, and a licence to illustrate an article does not automatically permit printing that photograph on merchandise.

Our shop and commercial content

The product strip is labelled as Football Fan Flags’ own shop promotion. Editorial photographs are not used as product advertising. Sponsorship or paid partnerships, if used, will be clearly identified. We do not sell match tickets or claim official club affiliation through news coverage.
