Choosing the right photo is the first step to creating a great card!
Don’t worry if you’re unsure — our team reviews every photo before editing begins. If your picture doesn’t meet our quality standards, we’ll contact you and help you find a better one.
✅ Choose a Photo That:
- Clearly shows the person’s head, shoulders, and chest (close-up is best).
- Is an original, high-quality file (not a screenshot, scan, or compressed copy).
- Has a plain background for a clean, professional look.
- Is bright, sharp, and well-lit — avoid dark, blurry, or pixelated photos.
⚠️ Important:
- Social media apps (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) reduce image quality when saving or sharing pictures.
- Whenever possible, use the original file straight from the phone or camera.
- If someone else took the photo, ask them to email you the original file instead of forwarding through messaging apps.

What do the different football card ratings mean?
Good question! As well as your choice of name and photo, every card features the player's position and various football skill ratings out of 99. These are called attributes.
The big number at the top is the player's overall skill rating out of 99. The standard set of skill ratings for outfield players is: Pace (PAC), Dribbling (DRI), Shooting (DRI), Defending (DEF), Passing (PAS) and Physicality (PHY).
Goalkeepers have different attributes on their cards. These are: Diving (DIV), Handling (HAN), Kicking (KIC), Positioning (POS), Reflexes (REF) and Speed (SPD). We'll automatically update these if you choose Goalkeeper as your position.
If in doubt, simply put high 90s for every skill. Our handy 'Suggested Rating' feature will then make sure your player's overall rating matches them. If you'd rather not choose skill ratings, you can simply use the "Randomize" button and get a random skill rating for each attribute.
Remember that a card is 100% customised. So if you'd like to change your card's ratings to fun areas like HAIR or JOKES, you can. Most football fans like the originals best though!
